Sometimes you just have one of those days where life feels like it kind of sucks. We all have them, those down days, where all you want to do is curl up in bed and never move for the rest of eternity.

Trust me, I get it.

You scroll through your Insta and are reminded of everything you haven’t done with your life. You look at the news and remember that Trump is still the POFTUS and the UK still voted for Brexit.

You want to face palm yourself so hard it’ll hit you into tomorrow when all of this will hopefully be over. But you can’t.

I have another solution: a healthy dose of inspirational video. It sounds corny, I know, but check out some of these beauties.

What If Money Were No Object

I became slightly enamoured with the British philosopher, Alan Watts, after someone had the smart idea to use audio recordings of his lectures, and pair them with some pretty epic videography. Before he died in the 1970s, Alan Watts used to talk about everything from finding your purpose, to the laws of attraction, and every video will make you both smile and think.

An Experiment In Gratitude

If you haven’t heard of Soulpancake you need to check out their Youtube channel, pronto. They are the brains behind some awesome videos, and this one is way up there. I’m a big believer in gratitude, in how realising what we’re grateful for can change our outlook on life. And this video shows why!

All That We Share

This Danish TV advert (yup!) did the rounds in early 2017, but rightfully so! It resonates with anyone who’s ever felt like an outsider in any way. From people who’ve been bullied, to people are madly in love, the moving message behind this video is to try to see past our differences, and recognise all that which we might actually have in common.

People React To Being Called Beautiful

This 2015 video is the result of high school student, Shea, testing something out in her school; she wanted to see how people reacted when she called them beautiful. It’s such a clear example of how just being noticed, and complimented, can help someone to feel far less invisible than they think they are.

Dear Future Generations

If you haven’t heard of Prince Ea before, this video is a good place to start. While he might cause a slight bit of annoyance online with his clickbait headlines and poorly researched statistics, that sentiment behind his videos is purely authentic. This one, particularly, strikes a chord with anyone who is environmentally aware, and leaves you wanting to stand up and make a change!
